Businesses will only be able to display one ad per store per year.  Once you have used your space at one store you are welcome to participate at the others. As always this is a No-Cost service provided by LBC Consulting Partnership and we ask only that you advertise and market us and our clients like we do for you.If you have any questions please contact your consultant for more information.  We can assist with the creation of your ads, if necessary.  Please do not pass this opportunity up.  The drawings will be held on Tuesday April 21 2009 .

Possible Scam Alert:

I just got an email from the Pittsburg Chamber.  The chamber has learned there may be companies contacting area businesses regarding an official chamber map project.  Please be advised this project
is NOT endorsed by the chamber and has no affiliation whatsoever with our organization.  Chamber members are notified through official chamber communication channels (e-mail, newsletter, mailings
on Chamber letterhead, etc.) when our map is being produced.  We apologize for any confusion, but encourage you to call 231-1000 with any questions.  Chelsey Waddell - Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce.   I believe this company contacted me a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks.

Carolyn

Possible Scam Alert:

I received a letter from the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Police have been made aware of a possible scam to businesses in the area.

A white male, about 50-60 years of age has been approaching businesses and selling them Car Magnets, stickers, bumper stickers etc. with local team mascots on them.  He is taking money and not producing the goods that he is selling.  The man is clean cut and is in a white care with an unknown tag on it.  He has been in Girard the last few days.

His hame is Drayton Gibbes and he is from School Spirit Innovations.  The Pittsburg Police spoke to the Yukon Oklahoma Police and they have had no negative dealings with him, but Oklahoma City has.  The Police spoke to him and he is Slick.  Quite the talker.  The Police also contacted the Yukon Chamber of Commerce and have found out that a family member has been indicted for scamming.  This is a family business and they are NOT legitimate.

He is driving a rental car with Oklahoma Tags 998 XGU, but that could change.  The car is white or light gray and has a Bolen Tag on the front.  Questions concerning this man should be directed to the Oklahoma Attorney General Office,  405-521-4274.

The Police advised us if this gentleman should come into your store selling these items, please call the Pittsburg Police Department while he is in the store so that they may identify the man.

Thanks
